Having tons of magazines and letters piling up everyday in my mail box, I decided to do some recycle projects with them. I remembered my childhood projects and those times that we were making paper maché sculptures in school and I gave it a shot with my adult designer perspective.
I designed my lamps with some geometric shapes, asymmetric free forms to give each one of them a unique look.
For making paper pulp, I used boiling water to breakdown the fibers of paper, tons of magazines and as glue I decided to use powder wallpaper paste that I bought some time ago. After adding papers into the boiling water and letting it work for full 1 day, I blended everything and added a good amount of glue, and that’s it!
